SUMMARY:Club Night - Speaker Peter Mitchell on Street Photography and the Legalities
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT PETER:\nI take street photos which are candid photos in public places. I don’t ask permission to take whatever is happening in front of me when I do this. I strive to capture candid moments as people live out their lives while out in public. This is a specific type of photography which in reality is not for everyone but for those interested in doing it it can become very addictive. One of my talks is how this fits in with the law. There are some myths out there and none are bigger than the idea you can’t take photos of people without their permission\, particularly children. With this talk I try to show the reality and dispel the myths.  The second thing I do is a presentation.about street photography\, its history and what we are trying to capture when we do it. This talk can stand alone or be done in conjunction with an on the street practical workshop in a second session. I have done these talks at many clubs around the state and did the talk about the law at a PSQ Convention a couple of years ago. \n

SUMMARY:OUTING - SLOW SHUTTER SPEED at Cedar Creek
DESCRIPTION:You will need: \n\nCamera\nWide angle lens\nTripod\nTimer on camera or remote controller (intervalometer) to avoid camera shake\nND filters if you have (or your camera has them internally as an option)\nWet shoes or the shoes you have that can get wet\nWater\nHat\n\nNote that there is a bank to climb down for the bridge photograph – not too bad but just so you know.  You don’t have to do the bridge shot and can go directly to the creek rapids.  There should be 3 spots for us in close proximity. \nDrive time to get there is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. \nThe end timing of events is just there as a guideline – you can naturally stay longer or shorter depending on your requirements.
